Andrew Chan
Managing Partner
Andrew Chan is the founder and Managing Partner at Atas VC. Andrew is a scientist turned venture capitalist who started his career at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory before spending the last 6 years in institutional venture.
Andrew's track record includes investments in Zinite (3D transistor architecture), Collide (RAG models for the oil and gas industry), GPTZero (AI detection), Auriga Space (hypersonic testing and launch systems), and Noteworthy AI (power utility infrastructure). He holds a BS in Geophysics and English Literature from the California Institute of Technology.
Outside of venture capital, Andrew's favorite book is In the Garden of the North American Martyrs by Tobias Wolff. He enjoys writing short stories, mountaineering, and exploring Los Angeles in search of the best diners, drive-ins, and dives.
